Circuit training is becoming more and more popular as people
are seeing the benefits it has, it can improve your strength,
aerobic fitness as well as burning fat in one workout, and
due to its constant variation of each station it is much more
interesting than most forms of training.
Circuit training is designed for all age groups and levels
of fitness; it is a highly efficient form of training, each
exercise is performed using a variation of muscle groups;
therefore you are working a muscle group at one station, whilst
the other muscles are resting.
Each Circuit consists between 9-12 stations, little or
no rest between exercises, and it's the technique performed
we are looking at, not how many you can do in a minute as
poor technique can be introduced due to poor management
of doing that exercise.
As with all exercise programmes, we start the circuit with
an appropriate warm-up to include pulse raising, mobility
and short stretch, followed by an extra pulse raiser to
ensure that the class are warmed up thoroughly for the circuit.
On completion of the circuit, the cool down should commence
at the level of the last station, gradually reducing range
of movement and lowering the pulse; each session is finished
with a final flexibility session including all the major
muscle groups used
